If you are able to buy gourmet meals on payday but can only afford Ramen noodles the rest of the week this post is for you!

  1.  Where is your money going?

    •  Set a budget for the upcoming months and start bookeeping so you can track where your money is going. Also, write out a list of needs and wants.
    • There is an app I use called 'MINT' (created by Intuit )  that basically does all the bookkeeping for you. All you have to do is plug in the information.
  2. SAVE first... spend later

    • Take a certain amount/percentage off the top of your check and deposit into an account you don't use often. If you can not discipline yourself to do this set your paycheck to automatically take it out for you and place it into a separate account.
  3. Plan for the unexpected.

    • If you're having a baby, need to get your car fixed..etc.. Put a little more aside into your account than you usually would. Even if there is nothing major going on set something aside anyway. You never know when it will come in handy.
  4. Got a credit card? You need to cut it (Seriously though).

    • Plan to use credit cards as last resorts!
    • Don't go crazy swiping any card not keeping track of what you are purchasing. If you are swiping you should be bookkeeping

     5. Create your own PTO time outside of the company

    • Put five dollars or more into an account, envelope, jar..etc every week.  Use this money to pay yourself when you go on vacation or will be off work for a few days  instead of waiting on your boss to approve it.

          6. Choose your words wisely

      •  STOP SAYING YOU ARE BROKE IF/WHEN PEOPLE ASK YOU FOR MONEY!! You have what you say.. So boss up, stop being a floor mat and just say NO. If your are constantly saying ''I am broke'' then you'll always have empty pockets.

Rebuke the doubting devil from controlling your life! Don't even open your mouth to say this isn't possible. I am living witness that this will take your bank account from zero to one-thousand real quick!
